It's for real

This is a Wrangler that lost it on Black Bear Pass, recently. Our trip wasn't near as crazy, but you can die in two feet up on the loop.

So you may have thought I was joking when I recommended going doorless with the seat belt off. That is what saved the passengers and their dog. When we did the loop, I had my exit plan in mind and went over it several times.

Friend of mine wasn’t with that group but was 3 vehicles back. He. Said he didn’t see it as it happened but did talk with those in front of him. Off-roading is as safe as you make it. Read the passenger was taken to the hospital but haven’t heard any updates. Glad they did find the second dog.

Oh, Lord. David wants to do Black Bear in a Patrol. Wasn't facing down dry land Hippo or an angry elephant enough? Perhaps a black mamba turned free in your grass hut will satisfy your lust for adventure? If you are thinking like I am thinking you are thinking then we need the crew up here. Mdawg, Robert, Justin (hope he has some first aid training) and perhaps River, to recite a final prayer as they sprinkle our ashes over the San Juan's.

But yes, we can get that brake mod. happening. I will get a drone to document your trip while sipping beer at the Brown Dog pizza joint in Telluride.

People drove it back in the early 70s with no power steering or power brakes. And it was two way traffic back then. I couldn’t imagine having to back up.

Just saw this from the accident on Black Bear on Oct 10. Hard to watch. Prayers for those involved.
