I bought a '69 Patrol in South Dakota!

Hello Group. A few weeks ago I bought a 1969 Patrol here in South Dakota. The seller told me that he brought it up from Nebraska from a guy who brought it from the Denver area.

I've put new 8 ply bias tires on cleaned up split ring wheels. Got new shifter boots and door handles from some guy from Columbia on eBay. I rebuilt the Rodchester one barrel, but couldn't cure the stumbles. So, I put a Weber on it and it runs much better.

I was able to rebuild the wheel cylinders with cups and springs from Chevy Cylinders.

I'm looking for assistance finding parts, so I'll dive into the forums and archives to see what's out there. I mainly need a 5th split ring wheel for my spare carrier. And front suspension stuff like tie rod ends.

The outside image is the craigslist posting image. The image inside the garage is today since the new tires etc.

Can you provide more detail about "cups and springs from Chevy Cylinders" - part nos, ebay links etc. I'm in need of cups and can't figure out sizes that fit Patrols.

For the wheel cylinders it'll depend on how bad yours are pitted from wear. I only had one leaking and the rubber cup seemed to be a little hard. I bought a raybestos WC13387 cylinder because it was available locally for $10. You can order a 1" cup online and it should work without having to buy a full cylinder. The Raybestos cylinder is like your typical Ford or Chevy that push outward in both directions, so the spring has two rounded ends (the end that goes in the cup) so I just cut it to length. If your existing spring is fine you can just try a 1" cup and it may work like mine. I did hone out the cylinder first with a simple honing tool that goes on a drill. I didn't remove the cylinder when I honed it. I have a picture attached of the type of hone I used.
