1964 Patrol brochure

Post by ozscott »

Here is a really nice 1964 Patrol brochure of 8 full colour pages, in English. It has a neat dealer stamp on the last page from Symes Motors, Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. $45US includes postage to anywhere in the world.

just reading this. does anyone know anything about the conversion of the 3 speed transmission to the 6 speed that is mentioned in the brochure? Seems like it was a factory option?

I think what they are referring to is high and low - 3 speeds in 4 wheel high and 3 speeds in 4 wheel low = 6 speeds.
Beyond any hope for intervention

The wording is not clear, but my guess is that the 6 speeds refers to the total of both hi and lo range.

That makes sense. So, I was thinking the six speeds would actually mean it could go faster, but if you're right, its actaully 3 lower gears. Just what we all needed!
