Thank you everybody!! I can’t wait to see Cheri in person next month.

Here are some more pics including engine number. I’ll verify the number when we meet. If one of you can tell me if a engine number exists on the block and it’s location I’d appreciate it. Let me know if you guys see something in any pics that looks off. The only thing I’ve seen from these pics that I know is off is the tach.

My girl who is very much into this and that makes her my keeper, asks allot of questions:). I may at some point have to let her loose on 60Patrol. We’ve had it 2 days and I’m exhausted. When this happens I’ll make you all aware it’s her. We both will use this same identity if this okay and doesn’t break any rules?

Engine number is on a flat spot on the lower front passenger side of the block, somewhere near that on the top of the frame rail you should find the vin number as well.

I spot a couple things that are not stock, the tach, the ignition switch and there are two things on the firewall behind the engine that I'm not sure what they are but are not stock. Everything else looks pretty much original....oh and that bucket in the passenger floorboard ;) ;)

These are what I'm not sure are on the firewall.

Oh and those mirrors up over the windshield.....

Welcome and congratulations on your Patrol! Looks great and complete.

Your enthusiasm is contagious, and the fact that your girl is so involved, priceless!!

I'm back, finally got Cheri into a shop as i unfortunately do not have the time nor the mechanical knowledge on this vehicle to start the process of getting her back into shape and back on the road. Shop got an auxiliary fuel tank filled with clean fuel hooked up, she turned over twice and and ran like it never stopped running for 6+ years.

Cheri needs a rear end, so can someone direct me in the right forum to proceed with possible options for a complete replacement or other alternatives? Also looking for one original wheel?

That's the beauty of a Patrol, they just don't quit.

Maybe it would be a good idea to have your mechanic join the forum and ask any questions they might have or look for parts. I haven't known many Patrols that needed a complete new rear end. It's possible it just needs axle bearings or something less than and entire rear end.
Beyond any hope for intervention

I think we need a complete rear end as it was bone ass dry.

Pull the guts out of the front and put them in there. What part of Baja? If everything works out, mine may be migrating to La Ventana with us.

I agree, pull the front ring and pinion. You won’t need 4wd very much in seal beach. I’ll have some axles available soon. I have two transmissions and transfer cases also.

Haha! This is the one in the field in the way out to the casino! I was wondering what happened to it. Glad it ended up in good hands :)

I just got home from having dinner at the casino. I was on my way home from Tahoe. I was on the lookout for patrols :D
