A/C York compressor installation instructions needed
I Have a 1967 and i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what is needed to install a York A/C compressor which will be used as an on board air system. Looking for suggestions, guidance, pictures on how and what is needed to accomplish the mounting of the compressor. Thanks in advance

I used to have a Patrol that had a York compressor installed on it. It actually had A/C but it didn't work and there were electrical issues to work out so I removed everything except the York with plans to do exactly what you want to do. I sold it before that ever happened though. They moved the alternator to the opposite side of the engine and mounted it where the alternator lives. This was a professional install done by a dealer vendor at the time. These are pics that I took of the setup.

Great pictures, do you know of anyone that might have tried to fabricate brackets or some plans to install that setup?

I do not, know of anyone. I'd check with some custom off road shops, they're always doing customizations. They're likely to have done a York compressor install on a Jeep for the very same reason.ctcruiser wrote:Great pictures, do you know of anyone that might have tried to fabricate brackets or some plans to install that setup?
