Sold my Patrol and picked this up
This one better suits my lifestyle. And I bought it for the same money as the Patrol sold for.
25000 original miles.
I know, I am a turncoat.

Plateaucal,
Terrific! When do you drive it over so we can lift it 6" and put more useful tires on it? Then we can cut that awful top off so we can have that open air feeling as race towards Engineer's Pass. I think if we bend the trunk lid...it has a trunk lid right? If we bend it back a bit we can probably fit one monster mudder spare in there and I then I did some measuring ......you know that charcoal grill we have beside the cabin? If we turn it on its end it will fit in the faux back seats so we grill some dogs at the summit.
This is going to be great. When do we start?
Yahooooo!

Well, parts will probably be marginally easier to find, for a little while anyway.
Beyond any hope for intervention

Re: Sold my Patrol and picked this up
Well it has T-tops, so that is done. And the entire trunk and rear glass assembly lifts up. So there is enough room for anything. Thought it would make a nice pick up truck.L60Boerne wrote:Plateaucal,

Funny part is that I sold the Patrol my nieces husband. I bought the Ponitac from my other niece's (her sister) husband. My son's other car (Lexus) came from my brother in law. But here is the good news. I will soon be back in the Nissan world. I am retrieving my daughter's 2008 Infinity G37S. She has done a wonderful job trashing it out (magna-cum-laude, but she can't drive for sh$t). We will probably repair and refinish and then give that to my other daughter. We have a real sordid family thing going on.
BTW, the red one is a Trans Am WS6 with the LS1 and 6 speed manual. And yes it is synchro in all gears. Weird part is it has a 1-4 cutout that forces you to skip gears when driving slow. It seriously looks brand new. I won't be driving it much as it is not my style, but it will see car shows, drag strips and drive-in theaters courtesy of Junior.
We are in the process of stripping the paint on the 1969 Saab. We will drop a better engine in and that will become my daily driver.
And as always, keeping my eye out for those Colorado Patrols.

I hope we can touch base when you get back. We are planning a trip to Utah, weather contingent, so we will see.
