Probably member dustybaird can better answer the question of the timing controller for the Ford and its possible use with the Patrol. Maybe the adapter for the timing controller is dedicated in the sense that it is a simple installation for the Ford, but might require an extra tinkering for the P engine.
In my case, I'm happy with my Carter YFA. Only drawback is in cold weather until the engine warms a little bit. Of course the EFI won't have any trouble in that regard.
Sniper EFI Installed. Runs and drives perfectly.
