Scott’s 67 - progress today

Post by Scootermixon »

Made significant progress on my 67 L60 today…got the bed removed mucho rusto! I’ve attached a picture of some rust solvent/penetrating oil for removing stubborn bolts that is amazing….it’s called Free All. I’ve used Aero Kroil for years and it works great too it’s just gotten so expensive. Free All is available on Amazon for less than $7.00/11 oz can if you buy 12 or more cans. I’m not endorsing Free All and hopefully I’m not violating any forum rules sharing this information, it just works great for a lot less money.

Also the last picture I’m posting shows a section of exhaust line that goes no where and seems to do nothing…can anyone tell me what this might be? Thanks for any help offered!

I like the CRC Freeze Off brand, and it has a pleasing aroma! Unless you are right near it when you squirt it... it can be a bit overwhelming then... but still pleasing!

the exhaust the goes from pass side to drivers side is the original. the big oval muffler is a replacement. there should be a round muffler on the outside of the frame on the pass side not near the battery box under the drivers seat.

Thanks so much for the information…I thought I might be an abandoned piece of pipe left from the original exhaust
