Re: USA Patrol Registry
Yeah they advertised it as a 69" but I knew it wasn't. I'll dig around in it to see if can find the vin plate but I doubt I will.RiverPatrol wrote:I entered it as a '67, it falls in that range.jwgreen wrote:I have acquired a new Patrol, no vin tag on door frame or firewall, frame number is L60-09521 engine number 51167

Re: USA Patrol Registry
Hey River Patrol, I'd like to register my Patrol in the registry. You already advised me that it's a 1962, even though it's titled as a 1965. My VIN plate maybe under the awful paint job done in the engine compartment but I doubt it. The vin on the frame is L60-2-00680, just one number less from one you used to own. Not sure on the engine number. I will be working on it tomorrow and will check the number.
Thanks

Re: USA Patrol Registry
Cool, thanks. I will add it in sequentially by the VIN but still list it as a '65. Post the engine number as soon as you get it.RobCar47 wrote:Hey River Patrol, I'd like to register my Patrol in the registry. Interesting, that '62 I had that is one digit from your was the one with the tailgate and side spare carrier. It had a normal right door though. It cam from CT, it had been used as a snow plow. Everything was completely rotted, which is why it got scrapped.

Was this the old one north of Houston, Texas with the PTO winch by chance?jwgreen wrote:I have acquired a new Patrol, no vin tag on door frame or firewall, frame number is L60-09521 engine number 51167

Re: USA Patrol Registry
Thanks for added it to the registry. I wasn't able to get the engine code but I will next time I'm out at the garage. So the one you owned also had the tailgate and driver side tire carrier. Maybe it was more common in the earlier 62 models that where shipped to the US. The one I own was titled in Maryland in 1981. I know that the majority of Patrols were in the western part of the country but I guess there were a few that made it to the east cost. The Patrol does have a few rust spots but nothing terrible. I believe the original color was white, since the inside of the glove box is white and looks pretty original surface rust and all. I'm not a fan of white but I would like to put it back to original or maybe just another original color.
I've read that some of the earlier models had gray interiors. Does anyone know if that's true or were they painted body color with gray painted floors?

Re: USA Patrol Registry
Most likely it was just a test to see how popular the options might have been, which apparently they weren't. I don't think it was an early model thing, I've seen earlier Patrols that didn't have it. These are the only two I am aware of.
The soft top Patrols always had the interior the same color as the exterior. The hard top models had the gray interior.
