Hey all,
I have some after market seats in my patrol and they are borderline too comfy. That is, the seatback has so much cushion and the seat can't mount any farther back, so I don't have a lot of wiggle room between my gut and the steering wheel. I'm not huge; just 5'10" and 175.
So, with that said, does anyone have any original seats? Or, does anybody have aftermarket seats they like and have some more wiggle room than what I have?
I have not posted in a while. Life events......
I am making progress on my patrol. I decided to hire a pro to take over the project and found a young and talented one who prides himself in workmanship. He is a true pro. It is making me poorer, but happier. I'll post some pictures soon.

Re: Seats wanted
You can install seats from other vehicles, but it will require cutting the tub wall that's behind the seats, and also creating a recess in the inner fender where the jump seats are (requires some sheet metal work). At least for the driver's side. I did that years ago.
Obviously the purists will scold me for doing that.

Re: Seats wanted
You're probably going to need to go with something aftermarket anyway. Your Patrol being a mid-70s version had a different styles of seats than our US Patrols, so finding stock ones here will be near impossible.

Re: Seats wanted
Thanks Esteban and River. I appreciate the good info. I did not know there were different styles of seats...... The seats I have are good. I was hoping to get ones that did not push me into the steering wheel as much.
Esteban, when you did the cutting, hammering and welding years ago, was it as much work as you thought it would be? I seems like a can of worms to me...
If I have to choose between purism and practicality, I will side with the latter...
