1967 Family Patrol Project

Did anyone see what it sold for? I saw it at $3050 but see it was previously listed by a dealer for $18k.

Happy Monday Patrol Gang!

I haven't posted much in the past few years -- Spending tons of time working and seeing the kids off onto college and their careers -- So, over the past few years, I done little on the Patrols... little bursts here and there but still a long, long way to go. I have realized that there is pretty much zero chance of me getting these three Patrols on the road... ever! Maybe one, but never two, let alone all three.

So, this has been coming for a long time... but pulling the trigger to do this is really hard! Here it goes -- I am going to sell most, or even all my patrol collection. I know, all to well, the worry about selling off parts... just in case I end up needing them!

So the plan is to sell off what I don't/won't likely need... or the whole collection at once.

It would certainly be awesome if someone makes a reasonable, fair offer for ALL of the herd (and tons of pieces/parts) and then shows up with a huge truck and trailer (there is a LOT of stuff!) so I can let it go all at once and end the struggle deciding what parts to sell and what to not-sell to keep. You know, rip the band aid off!

If I resort to selling pieces and parts, I will do it with the expectation that I will focus on Aerogirl and will keep all (and only) that is needed to get her running (eng, trans, body panels, the interior, etc.). The rest goes... But will consider selling the zero mile engine and the Marks 5-Speed to fund getting Aerogirl back on the road (meaning Aerogirl will remain a three-speed).

Here's the list of the big stuff (off the top of my head)

'67 Hardtop - Aerogirl

• Blasted and powder coated frame -- Rebuild cross member
• Rebuilt rear axle (set up for disk brake project)
• Cleaned up front axle w/disk brakes
• Aluminum gas tank with internal fuel pump
• All body panels blasted and primed
  - Some panels are starting to see some surface rust... but still really insignificant
  - The hood still has crash damage
  - The top is "vented" from traditional rusting
• Lots of good glass
• Seats and door panels covered in brown. Decent shape too
• Have wiring, dash parts, and heater core
• "New" front bumper (hand made but really well done!)
• (5) New Tires (1 with zero miles, 4 with ~1000 miles. 8-ish years old)

'67 Soft Top

• Soft top frame (I believe all the pieces are there too)
• Small Block Chevy in it with custom motor mounts (the engine is probably a core... who knows)
• SB Chevy to Patrol Trans bell housing (this is the cool thing!)
• Cut fenders... but they look frickin' stock! Whoever opened them up did a great job... I honestly didn't realize the were larger for years of ownership
• Decent body panels but the firewall is HACKED! Someone used a claw hammer or something to cut holes for the V8!
• Comes with a spare firewall. A hybrid of the two would be perfect

'67 Hard Top -- Bart

• Overall - Super rough, but...
• Has seats (poor condition, but frames should be good)
• Dash is decent
• Top is there but will need lots of love.
• Has side glass
• I only have a bill of sale

Other exciting goodies

• Rebuilt, zero-mile, P Engine (the SN matches Aerogirl's tags)
• Rebuilt, ~1500 mile P Engine (this is the one that was running in Aerogirl)
• Marks 5-Speed with clutch disk
• A couple transmissions and transfer cases
• A gas tank -- it likely is in good condition
• Another gas tank -- it likely is in very poor condition
• A pressure plate and standard clutch disk (perfect condition)
• A parking brake assembly (reconditioned bands and drum)

Plus, all this stuff has been here so long and stored in boxes and boxes and boxes... I have Patrol goodies tucked into every storage space in the garage! I know that there are tons more things that will appear as I sell off the collection.

I hope you keep Aerogirl at least! Not an easy decision whichever one you choose and certainly it takes some courage to do it.

Hello…thanks for taking the time to post such a detailed list of what you have…I’m finishing my 67 patrol and need a gas tank preferably with a good functional sender… do you still have a good gas tank available?
