Finishing up the rebuild on my Hitachi VC42 carb. My original bowl fuel level marks were not legible on the sight glass, and I'm trying to find a dimension for the marks so I can verify the float level is correct.
All I need is two measurements as indicated on the below picture. Measurement "A" measured from the top of the lower 'boss' to the lower red line, and measurement "B" measured from the top of the lower boss to the upper red line. A second pic is below showing a better view of the general area on the carb circled in red.
Thanks in advance!!

Re: Information Needed - VC42 Carb Fuel Level Marks
Well I tried. I have one on the shelf so I was going to take pictures for you. Unfortunately it does not have the lines on the glass tube. There is a very slight glint where the lines may have been but it wouldn't show up in a picture. Sorry!
Beyond any hope for intervention

Re: Information Needed - VC42 Carb Fuel Level Marks
I realize now that accurately measuring these fuel level marks will be very difficult, if not impossible. But if anyone has a VC42 that's off the vehicle, and can take a good picture of that area of the carb, straight on (not angled up or down), I will be able to scale off the picture and figure out where the marks go. Thanks, Paul
