Yea pretty sweet....$38 for an axel is an unbelievable price!! I have looked around Asia for Patrol parts but had zero luck, possibly the language problem but nobody responds to emails. Take a look at this RH rear axel at NissanAutoParts.com   http://www.nissanautoparts.com/detailli ... mit=Submit   LH doesn't come up and I don't know if this is axel NLA or not but it is 10x more money than the one your friend bought...amazing Hector! I have been looking for the HD rear end for several months in Australia, still have not found one...or at least haven't found one I can buy. I would/am very interested in one from Columbia for $400. Anyways....thanks for all the info Hector, great stuff....hope the rest of your time in Japan is enjoyable.   by the way...your english is just fine...much better than my spanish. I can understand everything you say/type with no problems.

Ok thank a lot, and one more thing, when i start tolook for this rear end it was because two reasons, first, i wanted to get in the front disk brakessystem, and in the rear ARB Air Locker, but it was noitem available, so i need to change both, and theaxels fron 84 heavy duty are the solution because ithas disck brakes at front and you can fit RD 09 ARBAir locker in rear. And you need to change bothbecause the final relation are a little bit diferent,And more over, actuelly i am in this point, and thelast thing i found was that there are two diferentsets, the first one is with a final relation of (rigthnow a can not remember exactly but i want to tell youbecause a think this is important) 11/41 and thesecond one is 9/41 or something like this, the fact isthat the secon ones is one that is used in a small busthat nissan sale in some countries and it can help toimprove the performance in low range when you use bigtires, i mean 33 or more, specialy in tree gearspatrol, mine has 4 gears and reverse and is very good, but you can fit with no problems the 5 gears from 8788 and 89 nissan patrol MQ or MK, perhaps enshorting Ido not know the name in englis, but i mean the axelbetwen gear box and rear dif,My idea is going to cost about 800 us dollars for bothends rear and forward, 1000 dollars for ARB Diflockers, 200 for Air compressor and 600 for 5 gearforward box, of course , the ends and gear box aregoing to second hand.If you want to get in touche with the gay that ishelping me, he has and store of used parts in BogotaColombia, the name of the store is ALMACEN WILLYSPhone Number 3603951, Fax 3603954 Adress Calle 8aNo.18 A - 20. To call to Colombia and bogota, pleasedial 57 1, and remenber , spanish, and i know thisstore, and the owner is Rafael, very good gay butanyway be carefull if you wants to deal with him, imean , one never knows.Hector._________________________________________________________Do You Yahoo!?Informacin de Estados Unidos y Amrica Latina, en Yahoo! Hey Hector...   My spanish is so bad I will have to find a translater to communicate.   Let me see if I get this right....Diff's from a 84 HD Patrol, Tranny and transfer from 87-89 Patrol will alll bolt in the 60series Patrol with only mod's to the drivelines?? You say $2600 USA dollars for the set up, is that used and unrebuilt?? This sounds reasonable to me if adaption is easy. I am think of going the full on modified route on my 64 hardtop yet using late model Patrol parts, engine swapped out to TD Patrol engine and the like, a 5 speed tranny would definately be choice. I am considering using Volvo C-303 portal diffs but if I do this I will want a better tranny, transfer and engine. The C-303 are stock with lockers....For my other 64, the ragtop I want to run 1960'-1970's HD rear diff, driveline and suspension, no need for locker as it will be stock other than these mod's. So I am curious how well all this will mate together without tons of money in custom adapters and so on?? What late model engine would you reccomend for mating to the 5 speed tranny?? We don't have any Patrols here in USA after 1969 so my info on them is very limited, I do know where to get used engine's and so on overseas and parts from Nissan can be bought without the hassle of 60 series parts.   Thanks so much for the input....   Ian

Hello, my last message was corrupted and interrupted,so i am going to repit, First, this parts are seconhand but not rebuilt, it sopouse to be in goodcondition but anyway could be a lottery. It is possible to get some body to check it.About the engines, the history is long, but here wego.Wen nissan developed the patrol, it was in a hurrybecause of corean war, and it was a copy of the famous jeep willys cj 2 or 3 im no sure, but there wasnot appropiate nissan engines available, only the bigone from a big truc from 30s ( 180 model nissantruck), this engine was a 6 cilinder in line and 3650CC, and an out put of 85 HP. The nissan patrol modelwas 4w60 .This engine was enlarged to 3956 in about1958 with the 4w65 and rathed 105 HP, this engineremains almost the same until its last days, but theout put changed to 125, 135 145 and agan 135. Yo canget until 160 with only electromagnetic ignition andheaders 6-2-1 direct exit. This engine was instal inall old model and in MQ and MK 160 series from 81 to89. But MQ was oferted with sd 33 and l28 models, thefirst one is diesel engine used in small nissantrucks( comercial trucks) and has 85 to 100 Hp and 22to 25 Kgr/mts, and L28 is a great engine petrol, itwas widely used in datsun 280 C and 280 ZX, withdiferents ignition programs and compresion radio, sometimes i was thinking in install this engine from adatsun 280ZX because is fuel injection and its out putis 180 to 200 hp. but in this case only 18 Kgr/mts.Nex mail more history. All this data are from memory, sorry if not veryaccurate.Hector.In 88 or 89 nissan released t _________________________________________________________Do You Yahoo!?Informacin de Estados Unidos y Amrica Latina, en Yahoo!
