spark plug wires

Any stock spark plug wires out there for a 69 KL60?  My distributor cap is the screw on kind, and I'd be more than willing to go to a push on if necessary.  Also, what is the gauge of the wires?

I have the same distributor cap and the 2 times I changed my wires I just took the distributor cap and wires to the parts store and they have generic kits that will fit.  All you have to do is cut the lenghts and put some "metal ends" on them.  When you push them into the distributor cap you should also use a special "grease" that increases the contact and life span.  The distributor cap and rotor is still available through Nissan, let me know if you need the part numbers

Hey there, I went to my Napa parts store just the other week for plugs and wires for my  '67,  they didn't have anything for the wires, and they had to order the plugs.  I need new wires badly.  Can you get the parts number River Rat?  Thanks   -Drew

spark plug wires

I recently pulled my dist. cap off and redid the ends of the plug wires. I had a terrible miss at times. One day it ran fine the next it would cut out and die.(Usually when my wife was driving it) The end of the wires were burnt up. I trimmed just enough so that the center of the wire was sticking out. My wires didn't have metal ends on them. The dist. cap has sharp spikes sticking up that go into the wire when you push them in. Then the rubber collar and sleave  press against the dist. as you screw on the caps for the wires. It is like a compression fitting type thing. Ya'll talk about cutting new wires and putting a metal end on them. Should mine have metal ends? Anybody know?  Keith    P.S. I no longer have a miss. Purrs like a kitten.
