Yes, I am apparently missing the flange that goes into/on the diff. I have the shaft with a flange on both ends, but the diff simply has an open hole in the front end of it. Is this something they could have simply taken out easily when removing the rear drive shaft for towing, or is this something that was pretty soundly attached, thus hard to remove, thus the fact that it is gone would make it seem that they had somehow damaged it and or the rear diff entirely?Again, thanks to anyone that can understand what I am saying and offer any advice!!!Michael_________________________________________________________________MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx

the flange slips over the pinion gear and is held on by a large nut and then a cotter pin. i have never had mine off but i would assume the flange would have to be splined to match the pinion. if i were to take it off to tow i would have just unbolted the flange. later mark.
