Mechanical Engineer by education. I worked as a fork lift design engineer for 8yrs before going to work for a major auto manufacturer as a process engineer. My list of vehicles should be a clue as to which major auto manufacturer I work for, and it ain't Jeep.
20+ years in construction, mostly as a finish carpenter and owner in a custom millwork shop. I left that behind when I moved to California where I picked up computer drafting and now work as an architectural assistant at the Orange County fairgrounds where I have worked since 2002. I do a mixed bag from architectural drawings for small remodels, some mechanical, and I also do the fair layout and plot utilities and maintain the architectural blue prints or files for the facility.

Graduated from Universal Technical Institute in 1992 with an associates degree in auto/diesel repair. I was an ASE master certified automotive tech at Coconino Motors in Flagstaff Az from 1994-1997. In January 1997 I moved back to Winslow Az and opened my own auto repair shop (R&M auto) thats for Ron&Michelle-my wife for 20 years now. I closed R&M down in 2004 when I finally got hired on the BNSF railroad as a Conductor/Brakeman. In 2012 I took a promotion to Engineer, so now I drive the trains, and I love it.
I'm a Professional Helicopter Pilot. Been flying for bout 12 years now. I currently fly in the Gulf of Mexico and service the offshore oil industry. Previous to that I was an EMS Pilot flying people to the hospital from accidents or transfers between hospitals. I also served in the Marines for 5 years as a Jet Engine Mechanic on F/A 18 Hornets with VMFA 314 Black Knights squadron.

Very cool! I always thought I wanted to fly helicopters, but opportunity never presented itself.
I did get to ride in a Huey back in 1981, and had an opportunity to go for a ride in a Blackhawk a couple years ago. Flying somewhat low crisscrossing the river was a blast.
