60Patrol

Putting a Chevy LS-1 in my Patrol. Still quite haven't figured out how yet, but will post pics as things progress.

Check this out. I have swapped mine with a 350 tbi. It is almost exactly the same set-up you will need. Firewall is the biggest obstacle.

Excellent Blog, and a very nice ride. You have made some very cool enhancements -

Is your new D44 rear axle a center diff, or did you rebuild your NP205 to use the offset rear output?

I'm sorry big red, i just seen the post you put in here for me. That is very nice, i appreciate the pics. That will definitely help. I noticed you cut out the body mounts on the front of the firewall, did you relocate them?

D44 came off 78 Waggy. Rear is offset.
NP205 is off set also.

Take a look below. It is only slightly offset.

Regarding body mounts.... Hehe
We welded all seat brackets and new floor pan to the frame. Now the body is mounted solidly.
