We've been checking over the car for things that might need attention if it gets going one day. One thing was the LHS locking hub. Have asked some question in the Engine and Mechanical section and rekon we have figured out what to do but here is another picture of the busted hub looking from the inside. Its was jammed and the switch couldn't operate so the hub was stuck in the unlocked position. 2 of the small bolts were bent pretty badly and needed the heads drilled off to remove this part. Looking inside there are several cracks around some bolt holes. Not sure if simply putting it back on with it in the locked position will work under load but I guess there is one way to find out.

Something of interest is the square section pin at the base of the door pillar. Also wandering if she has fallen off of a high lift jack at some point or if someone didn't find the proper jacking point

I believe the square peg to be a base male piece for a 1" x 1" square tube vertical support for a roof rack. I'd use it!

I think you might be on to something with the roof rack idea. There is another peg on the drivers side and another 2 pegs at the rear, one in each of the rear corners.

I'd drill a fat cotter pin or bolt through the assembly to fasten.

3rd turn and there was a fire and by the 5th turn she was running. If it wasn't a Nissan I'd say it was unbelievable. Sounds like an animal and nearly choked us all with the exhaust coming up through where the floor should be in a nice afternoon of 37 degrees, after we had waited all day for it to cool off a bit.
I'm still grinning. So happy it goes and so now I think we'll fix the clutch and see if we can get her mobile again. So, now before I get any grief, even if friendly , about things not existing without pictures. I will charge up the gopro and see if I can get a video onto youtube of it running just because it sounds so cool and that I rekon you guys on the forum would get a kick out of it. Just give me a bit to get it done. Runs loud and lumpy, nothing really pleasant but nothing making any rattles or knocks .......yet!

Awesome love to hear it running. This usually seems the case that if an old G60 still got compression, Oil, Fuel and Water there is 98% chance it will sill work
