Ha-ha I love this old truck, its also been getting out in the neighbour hood, helping out pulling out residents stumps, hauling timber ect. The alternator died in it, so I pinched the one from he brown 72 as its fuel pump has packed it in. The G60 ute starts so much easier for some reason ever since I swapped over the alternatorsXploreNV wrote:This thing is ridiculously awesome!

Here is a snap I took the other week, I love the black and white setting on the camera, The black and white images suit the old g60's. On anoter ute, its loving life, accidentally snapped the bar of just after this photo was taken, so I have recently refitted just a small bar for the time.

The beast is awesome!!! Love it just the way it is. Oh and the hood, great use of some scrap tin roofing. Truely my style of bush wacker.

Interesting - in Tassie the Rural Fire service uses mostly white trucks. Fireman Sandy http://www.60patrol.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=4212 is a G60 that was used in the TFS. I hadn't realized other states were different.limited slip wrote:From the colour mate I would guess ex fire truck, tray however does not look remotely like a quick response unit one so would guess it was probably put on when the ute was retired from fire duty. Around here the colour of most fire trucks prior to orange becoming the standard colour was a darkish green, and most fire trucks had a sticker of the crown or england with flames under it I think......
The Beast's colour looks similar to the burnt orange of my Ute Rothgar - which was originally a Forestry truck down here in Tassie. I assume it was a factory colour.
