Currently have the 73 up on bricks / hoist getting ready for the rear springs, drums, shocks to be swapped around. The underneath of the 73 has 30 years of grease, oil, and road dirt 1/4 “ thick in places.

There are small drip oil leaks on the engine, gearbox, transfer, PTO, diffs etc. At this stage I cant tell how much or where they are leaking due to the grease. Figured while I had good access I would start the degreasing process.

This is after a quick blat with degreaser and the hose. Will need to get the gernie out later !

Got both rear springs out of Rocket and almost all into the 73. Just trying to align one side and bolt her up.

One spring in Rocket and the one left has a seized fixed pin. Had to angle grind both side of and will now have to press it out.

Almost there. Just shocks, drums and PTO. Phewww, can't wait.

Well finished changing the springs over from Rocket to 1973. Shocks also swapped over and took the air shock lies out.

Only need to pull the ignition, PTO, Speakers, Battery and she can be sold. Thinking about taking the steering but will see ?

You can see the lift the 1973 will get buy looking at the drop in Rocket

During this Patroldude came over along with Ed and we dank a few beers. also took the 73, rocket and his MK for a test drive Hmmm that was fun.

She's good as I get my toys

She gets her shopping

Will update you all later in the week when shes released from hospital.

Well as said earlier the 73 got registered this week.

So after driving her around all this morning, washed her, took photos and then drove to the freeway to see Rocket off.

Well after getting 2km from home the clutch felt funy during a shift and a crunch. At first I though I just stuffed up as I was wearing thongs (rubber shoes)

Another 500m I knew I had lost the clutch. Lucky I only had a 5km drive home with no clutch and I knew the area. So started in 1st gear at the lights, avoided stopping on any uphill slopes and when needing to change to 2nd stopped on a downhill and started in 2nd.

Well got home and confirmed the clutch slave cylinder had a hernia. Will check the green slave status and swap, also have a new clutch master I may as well install at the same time.

Well went yacht racing all day today and fried. Face is a little burnt

Well got home and changed the clutch slave cylinder, lucky I had a spare on the Green engine

Ahh well put it in, bleed it, and it works. Went for a drive to PAtroldudes place (40km return) and shes working fine. Takes a good 10min of driving for the engine to warm up and runs like a dog untill warm.

Will drive to the airport in the morning to greet Ian In style I might ad

Well after removing the thermostat insides the overheating issue is resolved.

Took the G60 for a big drive this afternoon 80km and another issue has started. The gearbox is making a loud whine in 2nd gear and having major issues shifting and then it comes good.

We checked the fluid level in teh earbox and all ok. Well start looking at this issue in a few weeks as I busy coming up.

Here is a photo from today's drive.
