Being that it's still over 100 here in October, I thought my truck could use a break from the beating sun on the upholstery, so I sewed this canvas top...

I got a replica name plate for Christmas from my wife!
Since my truck is a '67 and it originally came with a sticker, I didn't want to drill holes in my truck as I want to go 100% restoration in the (distant) future. So I found bolt heads I liked, (even though not matching original rivets), and cut the heads off, epoxied them to the plate and used 3M double sided auto tape to adhere it. I tried my best to get correct location based on the drawing from the manual and others' pictures.

Also, got some airline 2-point lap belts from Seatbelt Solutions. I attached the back seat belts to the seat hinge - seems to work well for my eight year old back there.
Looks like you and I are on similar paths. I got my first Patrol in November and added 4 belts in the back to accommodate my 2 kids (and 2 of their friends). I attached the outside belt anchors to the body and the center anchors to the body via an eye-bolt. I am not sure whether it is more or less safe than attaching to the seat hinge and hope I never need to find out:
As you can see, this is not original it did require 6 new holes, but it works for the kids (and me) and matches the aftermarket seats that the PO put in as part of his frame off 'restoration'
I also am considering adding the rear plaque, as I prefer it to the sticker - but also wanted to avoid drilling for the rivets. Do I have your permission to rip-off your clever solution? And congratulations on marrying someone who would give it as a gift.
There was a sticker set available a few weeks ago (on eBay Colombia, I believe) that would be perfect for your restoration, but I cannot seem to find it. Does anyone else know the name of the vendor that sells the sticker set? It included interior and engine compartment stickers. This sticker came up in my search, but probably would not go well with the Missus or neighbors:

In the future, I plan on adding in two more seat belts in the back, (after we have more kids), so will use your center eye hook idea.
And of course, you can use "my" idea on the plaque, mine has worked great so far and tricks the frequent admirer
Here's the link to the stickers I found, I plan on getting a set too. I contacted the seller as I was unclear as to what stickers come in the lot - he said English version includes all English stickers and any in Japanese as well.
