Greetings Patrolees, I can report the following updates.
a). The Green Machine will be returned to its original color which was that Datsun pale blue. The interior floor boards will be black, not sure if it will be just paint or paint mixed with plastic liner. But that is much later.
b). Ian W from RMP & O was easy to work with and delivered three crates of parts to BAM Auto though just a few are needed.
c). Rafael will focus on rebuilding the complete breaking system and suspension first.
- Leaf springs from Alcan are on the way...excellent advice from the forum and excellent supplier, decided on 1" lift, 31" x 9.5 tires
- woven SS brake lines are being measured ...is there anyone selling a pre-engineered set of high quality SS brake lines or kit the 60 Patrol? Or maybe a custom shop we can order from a previous take off? If not, I'll have Rafael save all the measurements and post them for future use.
- I will search forum for recommendations for shocks.
d). If I don't go hunting this weekend I will go grind some rust off that rust crease on the passenger side and at least re-coat it with primer. If my skills surface I will likely grind through the metal and leave nothing but a 24" long hole where the rust used to be. I expect the metal will be cut out anyway and replaced by El Choppo across the boarder from Presidio in Ojinaga, Mexico.
e). Rob ((Miller_rb) has very graciously offered to send me the very badly needed missing passenger side door handle and maybe the interior vent cages which actually were not supplied in 1963 but I like em and i will have them chromed along with a few other parts.

It's gonna be weird having something named "green machine" that is pale blue. Not nearly as intimidating I think.
