Part #45 (and #44) are for the bottom of the side curtain. They actually slide through a long loop sewn into the side curtains. I think the purpose is to keep the side curtain from flapping while driving, to keep it stable. Originals are rare, even with complete original soft tops; of three I think I have one set. A makeshift set can easily be made.

I actually do have these original pieces (#44 and #45) so I should be good. I just didn't know their purpose as there was not a shred of canvas left on Edgar.

Gentlemen, my hard top might be too far gone so am wondering if it would be easier to convert to a soft top perhaps more economical as well? If yes does anyone have a frame to fit my 69? Thanks
