60Patrol

What I love the most about the split rim is that they look so old school. I love the one Flagonni sent me. Cactus, flint and mesquite attacks make tire changes a real part of any Patrol anywhere west of I-35. Given the limited availability of split rim changers i just could n't outfit with them...but i love the look.

I have this pair of original 16 inch wheels:
These wheels both have the three little retaining tabs on them for hubcaps, so they are the rarest of the rare Patrol wheels (The tabs could probably be ground off to make them match your other wheels if you wanted to), and each one has a minor curb ding (one of them has the ding on the outer rim, at about 10:00 in the photo above. The other one has a similar sized ding on the inner rim), but neither ding is bad enough to affect the tire bead - both should mount tires, and hold air just fine. Neither one has any rust- They are both solid, Arizona parts that had been sitting out in the desert sand for God-knows how long.

Another important note regarding the 16 inch Patrol wheels- They came in 2 widths: Early (pre 65) Patrols were 5-3/4 inch wide (edge to edge), while 65's and 66's were 6-1/4 inch wide (edge to edge). The 2 wheels I have are the earlier, 5-3/4 inch width.

If you were going to use the wheel as a 5th member in a set, then these would probably be just fine to use as a spare, mixed with a set of four 6-1/4 wide wheels.
