Nice Jeep Mdawg4x4.... I plan to take mine out west this year.

So I started tearing the white one down the other night and ended up getting both front fenders, and inner fenders out. It was a bear, all the bolts were difficult, and many snapped. The body on the while patrol is long gone, but it will still be valuable for the parts I need.

I then pulled the spark plugs on the white patrol and replaced them with new NGK BP6ES plugs, after pouring about 2 oz. of Marvel's mystery oil down each hole. The engine also took a full 5qts of oil without draining the engine as well. I just wanted to get some oil in there until I can work on starting this patrol up. I plan to let the truck sit like this for the week, then I will try to start it with fresh gas after the holiday.

I also noticed a different on the teal Patrol, it seems to have waterproof spark plugs. Is anybody familiar with these?

I also noticed that both patrols have different carbs. Can anybody help me identify these carbs and tell me which is preferable?

When you have 2 Patrols side by side you learn so much about the differences, very interesting. Both of the carbs are stock, the Hitachi was the early carb and the Rochester was the later carb. I replied elsewhere that those are indeed waterproof spark plugs.

Could you please post pictures of the ID plates on the firewall? I'm interested in comparing differences.

I can grab pictures of both plates after the holidays, I wont be getting back to the shop until then.

continued the tear down of the white parts patrol. the floors were shot and I had a fun time removing street sign patches held in with rivets, misc. hardware, and spray foam.

The bulkhead on this one also looks to be pretty much complete trash.

On both vehicles the tubs are rough. I am looking at replacements from Cri-Troa. I have read the floors are for 69+, any idea if the SWB tub will be a perfect match for my 67?

I need to take a closer look at removing the seatbox from the tub. is this bolted on? Or will I need to cut?

The floors you get will need to be modified somewhat.

The seat bench is bolted on to the tub.

I have seen threads on how the floor pans were modified, do you know of the tubs need modification?

I'm not sure? I can't think of any differences in the mounting of the tubs. One concern would be the door jamb where the door latch mounts, the latched were different after '67. If the inset on the jamb is the same it should work.

So I was out in Las Vegas for work and decided to cancel my flight, book a rental truck, and pick up some patrol parts from Plateaucal in CO. The most important piece was the frame, which has no rot!

Kyle, another member was lucky enough to claim a tub, bulkhead, and some other parts I was unaware of. Regardless, I helped deliver them to him in OH on the way home in return for some gas money. Man I wanted that tub!

The doors, hood, transmission cover, and some smaller parts came home with me.

It was also cool to take a ride in a patrol for the first time!

Overall, I am super happy about the frame. It should speed up my process quite a bit. I plan to reweld on one tab that was cut off, open up the crossmember to address any hidden rust, and then have the whole frame galvanized.

Has anyone seen a galvanized patrol chasis?
