Great comparison - I too have the Marks 5 speed in my V8 G60 and although never having compared it to the original 3 speed I think it is a great transmission, especially for offroad with the low ratios.
I am wondering if anyone has been in touch with Marks for replacement parts for their 5 speed? Any parts that are prone to breakage? Any information on the clutches used with these? Is it the stock clutch or off another model/aftermarket? I drive mine quite hard and am just trying to think ahead if I break anything.
Thanks!

Marks no longer have parts and really don't support it.

I think the clutch pressure plate is standard but the clutch plate is non standard - I assume it has a different spline count.

There is some info/technical specs/original installation instructions on the Marks elsewhere in this forum.

Thank you Peter60 - I just found the Marks info you mention and have attached it again below for anyone searching this forum and thread.
If I come across any more specific information on the Marks 5 speed I will post in here to assist anyone with the same questions.
