Drove about 30 miles around town this morning - mix of stop & go plus some country roads. The performance on a hot day is a very nice improvement. I had one minor incident of hesitation while accelerating from a stop. It felt like 1/2 second of fuel starvation. The hose does have a pretty tight turn in it that may have caused it, but that was the only issue, so not going to sweat it for now. An hour later I went out for an errand. When I got home, it dieseled for about 2 seconds upon shutdown. Afterward, I insulated the new fuel hose - even though that's probably not the issue. Fuel line is insulated from the pump to the carb completely now.

So thumbs up for the Hatteras trip. I bought a 1 year beach permit I'll pick up on Sunday. If all goes well this coming week, I'll post some pics from the beach.

Hello Jim
Just checking in to see how you are doing after the hurricane.
Here in Charlotte all we had was just rain, but I know you guys took the brunt. Please let us know how you are. Hope to hear from you soon. :)

After 3 months we are still in newborn baby fog around here, but enjoying it.

We did fine. Our neighbors 70 miles south got nailed, though. Our place at Hatteras also did much better than expected. We’re here to unboard the house. Finally got the Patrol out to Cape Point. Performs flawlessly in deep sand.

Wow that is awesome! I am dying to get my hands on the intake manifold off of a P40, and then run a Weber Redline Carburetor Kit 38 DGMS Outlaw. I`m glad your Weber conversion went well. If I can find the p40 Intake I`ll throw my carb on and I`ll let you guys know!
