I would be interested in getting mine re-cored, the people here in Louisville KY told me they got nothing. did she find a core size that works?v30crewcab wrote: she said she could recore it if I needed it so thats good.

Re: My 2nd 67
shes a one person radiator shop. I think she told me shes 75. If it can be fixed she can do it. I've been using her for almost 30 yrs.
you can send it to me and I can have her fix it.

Re: My 2nd 67
I ended up having to replace both heater hoses. they were in good shape, but were too big and wouldn't tighten on the heater core.
I was driving it around a good bit til it got too cold to ride without top and doors, well I found a good hardtop in colorado in november, and finally got a chance today to get a few bolts in place to hold it on. gonna take the dog for a cruise in it tomorrow. I'll try to get some more pics.

Re: My 2nd 67
So I had a bad rear wheel bearing. I had to heat them cherry red before they would even press off the axle. I got a set of new ones, national brand. they are supposed to be 40mm ID, but they are 39.8. anyone else have this issue? I can heat them in the oven and install them, but I'd like them to just fit normal.
I actually bent one backing plate before I heated them so I had to straighten it back out.

finally got a pic resized. got the rearend back together by heating the bearings in the stove, and they slipped right on. now I have the trans apart as it was making noise also. got it back together and painted. need to clean the bellhousing and paint the tcase and get it back together. my dog loves riding in it.

Re: My 2nd 67
got the trans apart. didn't find any one bearing that looked terrible. I ordered a kit from Australia off ebay. it all worked great. I also replaced the input seal in the Tcase while its out. and I'll replace the two seals on the output shafts, as the back one is leaking. also going to take the ebrake down and get it relined. Theres a clutch place downtown that does all that. they relined my front brake shoes on my other patrol many years ago.
