Just doing some research for my 1962 and 1963 restorations and I noticed the discussions regarding missing body plates. My were corroded or missing, so I have had new alluminium plates made up ready for stamping. I had them made in different horsepowers depending on the SWB or MWB and year. Lake City Co summer RALLY ...YES!

Crowds die down after September 1st...Patrolling at 13,000 isn't easy but worth every lost HP!

2024 not a good year, its a safari year sorry but if River Patrol calls for a rally I'll make it happen.

Someday we will be rolling and patrolling,

More picturers please. You have one of the early ones with lower gear ratios. Best for high mountain rumbles. Dive yours and a 65 and you will quickly understand the difference.

At the risk of hijacking this thread...............

David, what are the two axle ratios -- early versus late?

:confusion-shrug:
I am not aware of a change in gearing. David notices a difference between his Patrols, I don't know why.
