Cool! The texture looks very similar to the original fiberboard and it will certainly hold up a lot better. :D

I FINALLY found the correct speedometer cable for my '69 (female at transfer, male at speedo) which is different from my Dad's '68.

Wanted to share here since I am more or less using this threads to keep my build notes together when I think it's worth sharing, but I also added it to a Speedometer cable thread already started.

Another part option found for radiator hoses. I will look to see if there is a radiator hose compatibility thread but these two Gates hoses from O'Reilly's match the profile nearly perfect once you trim the excess. Not sure what vehicle the original length was intended for, but cut out the portion that has the profile you need. One hose was about $25 and the other $33 I believe.

Part numbers are in the picture but also:
Top hose - Gates 22301
Bottom hose - Gates 20584
