So sorry to hear about the loss of your friend Raul. I have a frame that came from you and have been working hard to get my patrol in good enough condition to install it. Now it will take on even more special meaning. Best wishes to you and your family.

Can you send me pics of the frame for the soft top. I’ll make it.

Thanks river. Hope all is well. I’m thinking I want to make a long wheel base by stretching the one I have. Know anyone with pieces of a tub that can be used for that?

Rubirunner85, which pieces do you need? The actual pieces of the frame or the bolt pattern locations where the frame bolts to the tub?

I have a guy who wants to order a soft top and frame. What information can I share with him to get that rolling?

Try PMing Raul directly. He might be working out on the oil rigs so he won't reply right away.

My patrol came to me with no top. I would prefer a soft top and would like to purchase the frame and canvas for my 69. I have none of the parts currently.

Has anyone heard from Raul recently? Is he OK? I have PMed and WhatsApped him and have not heard back for months - longer than any oil industry assignment that I know of.

My canvas was damaged recently and was shoddy and misshapen when new - the PO had cobbled something together. See photos below.

I'd like to upgrade to a proper-shaped top with roll-up plastic/canvas windows and replace the butchered sheet metal pieces above the windows, which the PO had hand cut to eliminate the increase in height from front to back. I may be able to use the existing frame pieces if I add some spacers at the window and rear attachment points to increase the height. But I'd rather buy a complete top.

If Raul has left the soft-top business, does anyone know of any alternative sources?

Thanks in Advance

River,
If you do hear from him or notice that he has logged in, please let him know I am looking for him!!
Also - I really hope he and the family are safe and healthy. I know Covid has been devastating in parts of South America and that his mechanic succumbed last year. Fingers crossed.
