Re: USA Patrol Registry

Re: USA Patrol Registry
Haha! Good observation! It might be because the ID plate is for the Spanish speaking market? The rest of the labels on those ID plates are in Spanish also.

Re: USA Patrol Registry
Leslie, do you want a pic of the vin plate from my truck build for the registry? Or will it matter since its a Frankenstein custom build?

Re: USA Patrol Registry
Since it came off one of your donor Patrols, then yes, it should get added to the Registry.

Re: USA Patrol Registry
I have 4 for the US Registry. (1964) 4-L60-01527 is my Patrol sitting in my garage in Parker, Colorado. The engine was replaced with a 4.3L Chevy V6.
(1963) L60-2-00114 was crushed by a dude after I took parts off of it. (1963) L60-2-01135B was a rustbucket that was scrapped. (1964) L-60-3-01530 was missing the engine and scrapped. Since the vehicle's were crushed for scrap, I can't get pictures of the vin on the frame

Re: USA Patrol Registry
This is great! It is confirmation of known Patrol's, that's good enough.

Re: USA Patrol Registry
What is the deal with all the variations in the VIN number? It appears the format changed a few times each year. Especially with the earlier years.

Re: USA Patrol Registry
Yeah, the pics above are a very good example of the very confusing VIN numbers. The VIN numbers even restart at zero in the early years. Some have a letter at the end which I've never been able to figure out. I think about '66 is where the format seemed to stabilize; after that the numbers continued consecutively through the years.
