Someone had cleaned and painted the outside already previously. That paint was peeling and flecking off. Came right off with the wire brush. The sealer kit I got from Jegs on ebay workered wonders on interior of tank. Right down to clean metal. Man the brownish black dead stinky gunk that came out was amazing. When I put the cleaner in, I also put a number of large washers in also to help break up the skunge layer. Ikept track on the number so I could retrieve them with a magnet later.
After it was allclean inside n out, I sealed inner surfaces. Make sure you keep air blowing thru pickup tube to keep it clear. After inside was sealed, repainted outside.

This last weekend, got the differentials opened up, old lube cleaned out and all the sludge at the bottom of the differential removed. covers repainted, new seals installed and all buttoned back up.

Looks great. I would like to do drain my differentials and clean them out. Did you make the cover gaskets or find them somewhere?
