Looks pretty typical for a Patrol project. You'll find that you get pretty creative for finding storage.
Beyond any hope for intervention

Re: 69 rat house
So my front diff had one of the right inner spring mount bolts cross threaded. It egged the hole bad enough that I couldn't chase with a tap after many tries. So off to my buddies shop. Start finding chunks of metal, jack screws, and clamps to jig it to the mill. And Viola
I need a mill, it's 9/16 now.

Re: 69 rat house
Been tinkering around a little, time for a little paint on the diff.
Then I farted around with some of the old junk I picked up.
Off with the old, yeah what a bugger. After scraping paint off the lower hinge pin and drowning both pins with penetrant, I still had to use a floor jack, block of wood, and wiggle the door back and forth for 20 minutes. On with the old. About that felt welting between the braces and door skin. What has been used to replace that? Something that does not hold water would be nice.

Re: 69 rat house
So, I had a few minutes to fart around this weekend, and a little time on some other weekends. Put the front end mostly back together. New inner axle seals, new pinion seal, new o-rings bearings and races for the knuckles, new roller bearings for the stub axles. New wheel bearings, seals, nuts and locks.
waiting on one more set of nuts and locks
this side is done, I even slapped on the new wheel cylinders.
Napa set of nuts and locks, they only had one. Ordered a e-bay set for half the money, will see if it works.
Nuts are 1.625"x16tpi, locks take a little file and saw work. The tab is to deep, and to wide.

Few minutes here, few minutes there. 120 hours and 1750 miles of commuting in 12 days made for a dull boy.
Looks like the relined shoes fit perfect.

On another note Talked to Jeff @ Deaver Springs. 1.5" lift springs are part# U667 & U668 No I don't remember which are which.
I will probably be making my own bushings at my buddies shop, not to worried about that.
