Yep another score for sure. I think that is what makes restoring these fun, it an easter egg hunt every day. I'm sick I missed those fenders up in Tacoma last week.
Well done,

Made a little more progress. Trial fitting tub, fire wall and doors to establish correct position to install the new floor panels that I had purchased last winter.

Making some more progress on Montana Patrol. Got the new floor sections fit into the sections of the body after setting the correct position for the doors from previous post.

This project is on hiatus while Noggin gets its rust repaired and paint redone... Actually using Noggin as practice for the body work to be done on this one

Re: Montana Patrol upgrades in progress
Back to work on this project that hasn't been worked for a long time. Spent the weekend harvesting a very usable wiring harness from the last patrol that I picked up in Montana last fall. That vehicle a 68 soft top (parts vehicle that has sent some parts to Texas) and the restoration project vehicle is listed as a 69. It was actually built before December of 68 and sold as a 69. Current state of the restoration is:
The wiring harness that I was able to remove from the parts vehicle was in near pristine condition. Once I cleaned the connectors and recovered the entire loom, it looks pretty good. Only found one wire that needed some attention. The oil pressure wire had been chewed on by a small varmit. I was able to actually use the wire from the original harness to splice on the appropriate length of the right color and added the correct connector and it was done.

Re: Montana Patrol upgrades in progress
I keep looking at this thinking, is this where I am going to end up? The car stripped down to the chassis. What started as a quick clean and get it running now has me rebuilding the power booster, replacing master, clutch & slave cylinders, with the brake cylinders next on the list. I have now seen all the damage done by the brake fluid that has leaked on the inner splash panel for 20 years, so have moved all the components & wiring off that panel for cleaning etc. All I keep thinking is, this would be easier to clean, repaint etc.. if it was off the car!!!!! I gotta stop looking at all these posts

Re: Montana Patrol upgrades in progress
Hey all. I am still around...... Been busy working on too many other projects so Montana patrol sits awaiting the day when I get to devote more time to it. There has been some progress in the last couple years. Been doing some body work clean up getting it ready for paint. Nothing picture worthy.
