I have marked this day on my calendar; the day Greyhound took responsibility for transferring seats and wheels from Utah to Texas.
2911
2912

If you see a Greyhound bus on the road between Roosevelt, UT, Denver, CO, and Dallas, TX, please give it the right of way :D
If I was a passenger on the bus, the ride would take 1 day, 20 hrs, 20 mins.
I selected the 7 day freight option...the least expensive choice.

That is great news to hear. I'm very glad that turned out to be a successful transaction for you. Now you finally have the correct seats! Yayyy!  Any upholsterer worth his salt can easily recreate the original deluxe upholstery from the samples and pictures that you have. And you have the wheels that you wanted. Which, I must say, really stumps me. You have been so anally careful about doing everything correctly on your restoration, why did you decide to go with non-correct for that year wheels? Just wondering.

Leslie,
I have a set of the original 15" split-ring (rim) wheels. There is a very limited selection of the 7.50x15 tire currently available in the USA. (There are some military NDT tires on the market, however the production date may be several years ago.) Additionally, very few tire shops will handle the split-ring wheel, limiting my options if I have a tire failure.

Tires for the 16" single piece wheel are more readily available and any tire shop will mount the tires.
There you have it.

Congrats! Glad to see that they made it home! What's the upholstery plan?
