Nice work! How did you make the hinges?

3/4 inch round stock and 3/4 inch pipe. Turned the stock down to fit the pipe and added a zerk fitting. I had to add a spacer to the gate but works good.

I'm guessing you used black pipe with 3/4" rod? The zerks addition is too good dude, somebody's thinkin'!
The clasps turned out bomber. I suppose you fastened the eyebolt with a lock nut that you backed off so it can turn?
Very nice and real use trailer Chris. I found some parts for similar trailers made new to original specs and, WOW, are they spendo.

First load of shit! Literally...composted horse manure.
Everything seems to be working well except the right side latch is off just a tad and it binds up. Not a huge deal but I plan on addressing it before long.
I saw your link and I agree, very pricey. The grease fittings really work well. As soon as I gave them a few pumps the gate operated much smoother. I don't like my cables but I can swap those out easy enough down the line.
Really building a similar trailer would be pretty straight forward. I can take measurements if anyone is interested. Very handy around my place.

Mad, (or should I call you Mr. Tripper??) Your work on this trailer pushed me over the edge and has led me to add one of these to my list. I always planned on getting a trailer for my trol, but I was originally thinking something more generic/homemade. Now I want one of these! I don't want to trouble you with measurements right now... but I will, sooner or later...

Lol, call me whatever you want! I don't recall exactly what I paid but it was on the Mud forum pretty close to me. I think they can be found in decent shape for $600 or so. I still have to get it road legal but the tires have some cracks in the sidewall so until I figure that out, it's just used around the house. I'd also like to pull it apart and blast it followed up by some paint and bed line the interior if the tub. Who knows when I'll get to that!?!
