That really sucks! Hope you get this resolved.

I have a chain with a padlock installed on mine. In fact, it has been there since 1967 when my dad did put it there. This was back in my home country at that time, but I use it every time I take mine to the street. Some people joke when they see it, but it's the perfect lock. Will try to take a picture over the weekend. Simple, and effective.

Thats why I have a bunch of HD cameras around my place. No one can set foot on my property without being caught on video!

I will admit that I am maybe a little lax on the security - a couple of dogs that are just hoping you're going to toss them some Cheetos. As for the GPS, the guy is long gone and quite sure he won't be returning. My ex-Marine nephew that lives with me confronted the guy (didn't know at the time that he had relocated the Patrol) when he walked into my house, carrying a KA-BAR. Nephew had popped a clip into his .45 to greet the unknown and the guy reached for the sky. He's lucky my nephew is trained not to shoot first and ask questions later, which would have been absolutely justified. My nephew let the guy leave and later discovered that the KA-BAR and sheath the guy was holding had been taken from my nephew's own truck in the driveway.

I'm not real worried about it. I'm pretty positive I know who set this up, and it was done purely to try and scare me. It all has to do with a hearing that I have Monday. And no, it's not an ex.

Guess you are gonna have to keep those wild Patrol parties down a little so the neighbors don't complain soo much!!!

You can pull the door lock and get keys made from it. Thats what I did for the 73 when I lost the keys. They need the door lock as they can pull it apart to make the keys.

Costed me $100 for the keys to be made with me removing the lock.

Excellent idea! Thanks. I was wondering what kind of questions they might have if I showed up with a hot wired vehicle asking to have new keys made. I should probably bring the ownership papers.

Regarding keys...when I bought my Patrol, the seller couldn't locate the keys, so he just took the number that is visible on the locks to a locksmith that has been in business for years. He scrounged up some old blanks, cut them to those numbers. He brought me the keys which fit everything perfectly. Think he said it was under $10

Wow! I'm sorry to hear that about the excitement! Glad he didn't get far... I suspect many of us would like to buy your nephew a beer! I'm glad neither you or your neph' was hurt... Too bad someone else wasn't though! I hope you stay safe!

Leslie, you are correct, your nephew would have had every right to drop that sob right where he stood. you might need to go spend the night with a friend till all this blows over. I hope i am never faced with what your nephew went through, but in Arkansas, number one, if they enter your home and have a weapon in hand, even a knife or club, that is a given you shoot first and ask questions later. if they happen to get blown outside in the process you drag them back in and shoot em again if needed. Dead men can't testify against you in court


please stay alert, and keep a pistol in reach at all times. it might not hurt to hide a few in every room,so you can get to another one if they manage to take the first one away. bsafe my friend.
