Re: 1970 LG60 MWB soft top
Oso update - dropped my fuel tank and a long soak in an acid bath has gone a long way towards greater reliability from my 350 SBC engine. I also spent a day with rubbing compound and really shined up the paint and am now exploring options to lock in the surface rust that is still there but otherwise keep a "resto-mod" look about the truck.
One small project I completed this weekend was to replace the worn webbing straps for the jump seats with leather keepers - really coordinates with the tan and cream color scheme of my modded Patrol (pics below). Still looking locally for a shop to make a soft top and have a short list of other smaller items (as I am sure we all do).

I was honored to be asked to carry our neighborhood's Fourth of July Parade Grand Marshal this year in Oso. Well over 5000 people lined the 2 mile route to cheer on Cub/Boy/Girl Scouts, sports teams, school bands, Lawn Chair Brigade (look it up, has to be seen to be believed), other antique cars and most importantly, our honored guests - 10 WWII vets.
To witness Oso in motion, see us roll by this cameraman's vantage point about the 2:15 mark.

I did end up swapping the Wheel Vintiques steelies for higher offset NATO steel wheels.

Re: 1970 LG60 MWB soft top
Welcome to December - must be that time of year. Took Oso to pick up the family Christmas tree last night and used the magic hour of light this morning for some Christmas Card pics. Incredibly happy with all the repairs and modifications made - picking up newly re-chromed front grill trim from Mild Bill later today. The move to high offset steel wheels made all the difference in the world in terms of ride (old wheels rubbed on arches under any load) and aesthetics. I found a shop locally to make the top - still saving pennies to make that happen. Oh, and my goldens love riding around and getting all the attention.
Happy Holidays, Y'all!

Well done! Who would not want your Patrol? It is so hard to fit non Patrol parts and all your seem to work fine.
