This is really good info. So, how do we make sure these get added to the 'Patrol Compatible Parts LIst' (can't remember the correct name ) ?

Thanks to all, I've added this wonderful information to my excell spreadsheet.


Now...for the really hard to find.....correct shims that go with this assembly. Are there off the shelf correct shims? It seems so, but I thought I bought my last correct ones from 4WD in Australia. I know we used new when Rafael rebuilt my axles for my now white Patrol.

The ones King Kong Craig made lasted about ...............10 miles. 2869ral sent me four OEM shims, thankfully.

I am so fed up with the helpless mechanics around Boerne.

Thanks to you Flaggoni we are not dead in the water as Hill Country claims it is not possible to find the left handed nut. They were supposed to Google for the left hand threaded locknut based on your measurements.

They didn't, naturally, but now they are.
