I was finally able to get back into the garage this evening for a few hours after a 2 week business trip to West Africa. I removed the rear doors and stripped them of their hardware which I will be media blasting and powder coating shortly. Anyone have any idea where I can pick up the lower door latch that is missing in the second picture, lower left hand corner of the door?
I also finally got the rear seats off and broke free some of the canvas frame members that have been causing me grief. I hope to be able to remove the tub in the next several days.

Well done Edgar, plus your attitude makes it fun, not work. Get er done...your not too far from Lake City. Don't forget bkippen flew from San Fran to Ft. Worth in Jan 2017, bought a Patrol and drove it straight back home through the Rockies in winter! Drive on out.

We passed by not to far from there last year on our way to Philmont Scout Ranch down in New Mexico. The mountains in that area are spectacular!!

The rear door latch was available at one time here: http://www.60patrol.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4403 Not sure if he has any left but it's worth asking. He also makes the soft top canvas you're looking for.

Well, you all know what happens with best made plans. Now that I am getting down to the frames I have found that Patrol 2 (my spare parts vehicle) is quite the Frankenstein. Motor and frame are from a 1967 patrol but most body panels are from something later, '69 maybe? Additionally the running gear is completely different. Differential code on the rear differential indicates it is a Dana44. Not sure of the front. 6 bolt rims, front disc brakes and a few other items are making this one hard to use as my parts vehicle. It would make an awesome rock crawler with a V8 replacement engine. Well we will have to wait until later to consider that. Here's to hoping Edgar's running gear is solid now that I have no backup plan.

Well that's certainly disappointing.

Spent time with "Edgar" Saturday. Removed the wiper motors from the donor '67, broke them down, cleaned them up, and put them back together. What I found inside each one was the remnants of a yellow jacket colony. My wife was not particularly happy that I discovered this while cleaning the parts on the kitchen table.

I've found many a wasp nest in wiper motors. They like it there.

This Nissan Bottle Jack may not be the exact model that came with Edgar but I like how it turned out and will look good sitting in the back. It is fun to see things progress.
