The 1969 I had was from Telluride and pretty sure my green 1967 was from that area as well. The guy I got them from picked them both up at the same time.

In the last two years I have seen five or six for sale or available nearby. None on the road however. I am sure it is a case of confirmation bias. I am always scouting for something and I can spot a Patrol from a mile away traveling 55mph. There is one up in Cedaredge, somewhere...just waiting, it will pop up.
The truth is that these mountain towns are the perfect place to own, use or find one of these old Patrols and other old cars. The style and mystique fits right in. Today I was in Paonia and saw a vintage VW and an unrestored Powerwagon. There was a 64 Falcon parked down the road for sale. In Telluride I regularly see vintage Broncos, Landcruisers, etc. etc. Slower lifestyle, slower cars?
I picked up a drone recently. Among other things, I plan on using it to scout old car graveyards. They are everywhere.
