I'm not worried. I'll be quite a bit more alert and proactive for a while, but I'm sure this was a one-time incident just to try and shake me up. I already have several weapons scattered around the house, and one in my purse (but don't tell anyone ). My nephew now has his AR-15 out of the case and ready to go. Heaven help anyone that decides to try it again; my nephew won't be so cautious. We do have to be aware that my 7 year old grand-nephew is here sometimes, so the weapons can only be so available.

Things would have gone very differently had I been home at the time.

Got new keys made for Ozzie today. It was pretty painless. I hot wired the ignition then drove the truck to a locksmith. He made new keys for the ignition and the gas cap so it's all good now. Coming home I decided to take the freeway for the first time with Ozzie and the truck performed pretty well. A bit doggy on the inclines but I was still able to keep it over 50 MPH/80 KPH. On the flats it was comfortable cruising at 65 MPH/100 KPH. I really like this truck. I am so mad at the a$$hole that messed with it.

Leslie, Sorry to here about that low life that tried to pinch Ozzie, He is lucky he wasn't shot at.

Yeah, took Ozzie to a local Datsun meet Saturday. It was about a 40 minute drive on the highway, the longest trip I've driven in the truck so far. After the tires warm up and it quits shaking it isn't such a bad drive. I'm getting it ready for the long trip in May, about 80 miles each way on L.A. freeways.

Man, wish there was a large Datsun following near here to have a get together like that. I am partial to the old 620 PUs, but love the 240, 260, and early 280Zs and roadsters.
I cannot even get people interested in Nissans...and we build a few each day.

good story river patrol. i enjoyed reading it I should of chuck a bid on it and kept in OZ but well done.

All the talk of the keys reminded me of the 71 Patrol I had, the key for the padlock that protected the spare wheel from thievery fit in the ignition and started the car.
