Hey guys as i said before i would be using a 3.5 v8 land rover engine mated to a 4fwd mq swb box ......i looked at the clutch plate from both the patrol and landy and they are just about the same size only the patrol is approx 3mm bigger i was thinking could i use the patrol clutch plate with the landy pressure plate and just remove the 3mm excess from the patrol clutch to get a free clearance or do i need to drill the fly wheel of the landy to line up for the patrol clutch and pressure plate.....Also if i can just remove the excess 3mm how should i go about doing so ie with a file or do i need to have it professionally done in a machine shop....thanks in advance for the help :eusa-think:

Hey fellas its been a while but I've been doing some other work on my 1980 MQ patrol and relaxing on this project. I've put in an olds v8 in the MQ and looking to upgrade the tires I want to run to some Dick Cepek mud country 33x12.5x15. Has anyone used these before and could u all put some input on them. The wrecker has had some body work done to it but not all yet I've secured two winches for it but might utilize one on the MQ for the while. The winches are both electrical one is off a Toyota Prado , its the factory winch that came with the Prado and the other is a no brand or at least could not make out one with both supposedly having a 8 ton plus pull rating.I only had to get cables for the winches I went with 3/8 wire cable 100 feet but still have to spool the cable on the winches . What i really want is a PTO winch up front and an electrical winch in the back but we will see how this goes. The old girl still has a long way to go but its a labour of love so its cool and it will get done someday.......
