Good thing I read this. Pulled mine apart today and took pics with the tablet so I could remember how they went. Tablet is still sitting on the passenger side step and it is supposed to rain. I'll run out and get you some pics.

looks like you are missing the adjuster assembly, shoes and springs.
I have the adjuster, just no shoes or springs. I do already have new wheel cylinders and shoes ready to go back in. On your rear brakes, I see what appears to be a pair of springs on the top and a pair of springs on the bottom. Are the springs hooked together from shoe to shoe? Or are they hooked to something behind the hub, or adjuster at the bottom and cylinder at the top? I didn't see anything to which to hook springs on mine if not shoe to shoe.

Wow, I'm amazed that it took that much effort to get the drum off when there were no shoes installed. I've always thought the difficulty getting them off was because they were hanging up on the shoes.
Both front and rear were not hung on the shoes. The drums were rusted to the studs and hub. There is a slight lip on the front drums, but the rear look good other than rust. Anybody have a good picture and measurement for the rear springs.

Thought I was making decent progress until I got the rear drums off.

It looks to me somebody did an aftermarket modification using "some" springs. I bet the original was 1 spring shoe to shoe at top and bottom.

So the O'Reilly flexible hoses didn't work. The splitter block (hub) end of the hose has the incorrect fitting size. It was too small. Guess I'll search locally to see if somebody can make custome hoses.

You might look at the Datsun 521 hose, the fitting are SAE, although the length mat not be sufficient for the Patrol. (The Datsun 240Z and Toyota Fj40 are metric.).

I've been told there may be a couple places around here that can make brake hoses. I'm going to check them out.
Also got the fuel tank out yesterday. It is full of sludge in the bottom and has a baffle broke loose. Was just going to clean it and line it, but,,,maybe I can get an old CJ tank to work. It looks to be slightly smaller than the Patrol tank. Got a guy not far from me that CAN build one if needed.

Left front back together including new hard lines to the splitter block. Easy bend lines from O'Reilly's worked great. I'm going to try to get the right front back together tomorrow night.

Nice work! Good to know that making new hard lines isn't a challenge.
