Esteban your advice is excellent as usual. I see your link indicates a 7 mm seal while someone else is referencing an 8 mm seal. I bought the 7mm. Perhaps both fit, regardless I really appreciate your help as always.

Re: Green Machine Rebuild Starts 5-9-16 - Patrollee Help Nee
Greetings,
With much help from nearly everyone Command and Control Vehicle 5 was field tested on the third most aggressive ranch I field test my vehicles on.
Next stop, Lake City, CO.
All improvements passed. The hand throttle was effective at 2,000 ft of elevation. The beefed up leaf springs did not collapse and the steering was much tighter.
The hill climbs require both hands and the pictures never accurately depict the angle but I assure you this Patrol tested today.
Patrolling again,
L60Boerne

That vehicle was made for that environment. It looks great!

Excellent news, great trip. The picture of the badge with trail brush stuck in it is priceless, it tells a tale.
Beyond any hope for intervention

The only remaining serious flaw is the lack cup holders. I still think putting them behind the front seat is best as the front area is already small enough but that isn't easy as the seats actually lean back over the centerline of the leading edge of the tub.
Hey with all that new "wall to wall" carpet coming I surely can't soak it in Rebecca's Creek from my cups falling off the hand holding bar. Yikes, I hope I don't have to start taking off my shoes before I get into drive?
Patrolling without cup holders,

With those steep hills you'll probably need a Self-Leveling Cup HolderL60Boerne wrote:The only remaining serious flaw is the lack cup holders. My first Patrol had these mounted to the dash or doors (can't remember). Minimal spillage, period correct and sty-ro-foam insulation to boot.

Thank you but those would become the 33rd identifiable rattle noise. I have capped my identifiable rattles at 33 per Patrol.
But I do appreciate the offer.
I wonder if those Oompa Loompas are still around? I could hire one to just sit in back and hold the cup. Sure they sing from time to time but I already know the tunes and they don't take up much space or weigh very much. I'll call Wonka and see.
