It would be interesting to know what happened on that deal. Then we wouldn't have to speculate.

The vehicle is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Look at what Land Cruisers go for and the current asking price for this is reasonable. As Patrols go, this normally would be a $5000 to $8000 truck, depending on the marketing.

The original seller has recently listed it for $15K, not an auction item. Only 2 watchers. Whole previous bidding event sounds like a scam - bidding it up hoping somebody would jump in and buy it. Of course the Patrol is a steal compared to the $98K Bentley they also have for sale.

Sordid past: 69 SRL311, 69 L521 (KIA), 70 B110, 72 240Z, 72 510 Wagon, 80 720 (KIA), 87 Stanza (KIA), 88 D21, 05 350Z, 10 Versa (KIA - totaled)

Actually, the new owner has been lurking on your boards for some time now...ever since my first Patrol sighting! Yes, the White '66 is mine and en route now. I'm not inclined to report how much I paid, but I will tell you that I paid less that the advertised price on the seller's website, the ebay listing price, and even the previous auction closing price. (I should give credit here: my wife actually bought the thing behind my back as a surprise birthday present...how cool is that?!)

It's clear that there is a lot of knowledge and expertise on this board, and I look forward to getting to know you all. Oh, and I'll be sure to fill you in on the contents of the Don Julio box! -dj

Congratulations! And welcome to 60Patrol. :text-welcomeconfetti: Yes, we're dying to know what's in the Don Julio box.

I may have screwed up. I had someone contact me about the Patrol I have for sale. They said it was for a surprise for 'Family'. The details of the message sounded too much like a scam, so I never responded. It could have been your wonderful wife after all. Ah well, you got yourself a very nice Patrol to play with. We are anxious to know how well you like it.. :D
