Thanks, I really wanted to galvanize it, as I love the look and of course the corrosion resistance.

I wonder if it has been done on a patrol before?

Moving? Hopefully you end up with a nice shop again! That's a thing of envy.

Here we are a year later with some updates.

As earlier posts mentioned I was moving the patrol back to MA. Once the chasis got up to MA, I had high hopes of working on it but the garage was not setup for work and my neighbors staying in the downstairs apartment really blocked off the project with all thier "stuff". This was frustrating a put the project on hold.

I did pull the motor and I dropped it off with a local mechanic. I am prepping to move back into my own home up north, and excitment is building as I will have a space to work again. As the motor is finished I will transport the rolling chasis to the new garage. I then have to go pickup the other Patrol in MD. The chasis is based off my parts truck, and Robin's body will move over. As I progress on the build I will pick the best parts from both trucks.

The clutch disc was shot, and I had no luck finding any replacement parts. I elected to have the clutch disc relined and the pressure plate was rebuilt.

For the clutch plate, did they resurfaced it?

Yes the clutch plate was relined by a shop named all frictions co in Portland, CT.

The flywheel was resurfaced and balanced by precision balancing and machine in Hudson, NH. They also did machine work on my head.

Ugh... Moving. Moving BLOWS.

I moved 7+ years ago, and I'm STILL working on all my projects in "temporary" spaces, with my junk scattered all over the place.

Someday....

Your frame looks really cool, and the pre-galvanizing dip was a great way to get all the rust out of all the internal passages and crossmembers.

Now it will last more than another 50 years- it will probably last another 100 years

Yes, I am happy with the galvanzized decision. I didnt plan to paint it orginally but I am going to treat the galv coating to be painted black. Im also going to be putting extra paint on the inside of the frame as well. With all that protection, It will hopefull last a very long time!

Drivetrain is ready to go!
