Thank you, I just returned. On the way down it was 600 miles through a blizzard, then 100 miles of good roads and then 300 miles of one nasty wind/dust storm. Th next 3-days was one serious wind/sand storm (70+mph gusts!) but by Wednesday it got gorgeous. Can't believe some of you folks live down there, I want nothing to do with those wind/dust/sand storms, I would rather live in 20ft of snow than that! It was my 3rd time going to King of the Hammers, hell of a fun week! Best part of all of it is the late night parties on the trails, nothing beats them for pure off-road goodness!soft60 wrote:Ian,

I drove my 2000 UZJ100 Land Cruiser down. I didn't take many pictures but did get one of a rainbow over Hammertown. If you want to check out what the race s all about go here, it is the biggest and best off-road race in the country in my opinion.soft60 wrote:I trust that photos of all the steps in this journey (except, perhaps, the worst of the late night partying) will soon appear here - what vehicle did you take on this trek?
There is about three different types depending on year so what year is your Patrol?Ascinder wrote:I would be interested in the speedometer, specifically the worm gear that drives the odometer barrel assembly. Mine is stripped down to mush.
