60Patrol

Here are the VIN photos for Toad's Patrol. There is no engine S/N as this probably was a replacement short block. Which explains the standard cylinder bore, crank journals, and general good condition.

Cool! I have never before seen a engine without a serial number on it? Factory short block would explain why.

Interesting on the OhioPatrols; the only one with the original engine is the softy. And, the VIN on the softie puts it just barely into the '66 sequence. Might have been the last softie made in '65.

Add one more thing to the list of oddities on my 67... Thats cool about the softy.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever found there original engine in someone else's patrol through the registry? I was reading through it and just had a thought sense neither or mind have there original hearts. Not that I'm looking for my numbers matching engine I just thought it would be cool if so, to find out how it got there.

One more for the registry. Here's the info for my 69 KL60. The original engine block and head were not rebuildable when I purchased this rig. Both went into the dumpster at work years ago. I'll look around and see if I have anything with the original block serial no. On it

Not that I know of, but it could happen. That's another reason we try to get everyone one to provide their VIN info. We have a lot more members than entries in the Registry,most we have a few slackers.
